The Black Eyed Kids: A Primer

As you start your car to begin your ride home from work, a soft knock on your window grabs your attention. You roll down your window to find a teenager outside your car. "I need to use your phone." the teenager insists. as you look back at him you find yourself struck by a fear you have never experienced before. His eye's are jet black. there is no discernible cornea. no pupil. just black. you are consumed by fear. somehow you pull away from the teenagers eyes to notice he is not the only one there. there is yet another teenager behind the first, and again he has the same striking black eyes. the first one insists that he needs your phone again. every fiber of your being tells you to close the window and leave, right now. you close the window. they continue to knock. you somehow bring yourself to drive away, but the experience will leave you shaken for some time.

The series of events you have encountered is what is being referred to in paranormal circles as the "Black-Eyed Kids" or BEK, and it is a relative newcomer in the realm of paranormal experiences only being reported for the last 10-15 years. There are quite a few similar threads in all the reported accounts. The first and most obvious is the dark black eyes. you will find very few stories where the witness fails to point out that the black eyes or the fact that the eyes didn't have discernible parts (cornea's, pupils, etc). The second most common feature of these accounts is the "Plea" the BEK always have something that they need from the witness. a very common plea is to use the witnesses phone, or to be let in their home. they are always insistent on this request, after being told no, the BEK continue asking to be let in or to use the phone until a door is slammed in their face, but even then, they continue to knock for some time. Another common thread is the numbers. I have not found many cases where the BEKs did not appear in groups of two or three, which seems to intensify the frightening aspect of the whole experience. This Brings us to perhaps the most traumatizing aspect of witnessing the Black-Eyed Kids, The fear. Witnesses report being so struck by fear that they remain shaken up for quite a while. It's safe to say that if you experience the Black-Eyed Kids, chances are your not going to forget about it very soon.

Unsolved Mysteries, and the UFO Community.

RealUFOs features a video from one of the earliest TV shows to show UFO stories in a serious manner, Unsolved Mysteries. The UFO community owes a lot to Unsolved Mysteries for this serious portrayal, especially since it was in a very un-sensationalized light, which is so rarely seen today. The video in question features the 1997 phoenix lights case, be sure to stop by and give it a watch, or in many cases a second watch.
